You know, this probably isn't your first turn around the block. But let's not waste precious time splitting hairs. It’s fairly unlikely you would find yourself in a memory pickle of this nature if you hadn’t been monkeying around with Travel in the first place…
In all likelihood, your anchoring protocol probably got a little sloppy. Which means it’s time to sharpen your pencil and get back to keeping proper records! This particular snag usually gets filed under “hygiene problem” and woo, boy, this brand of bad housekeeping lands more agents in trouble than we’d care to admit.
Anchors exist for a reason, bucko! Check your Agency ID regularly. Do inventory (you’re looking for fragments that feel strangely meaningful, like a pocket watch with a message etched on the back…) and for Pete’s sake, keep your record up to date! This goes double when dreams are concerned. We could provide a whole pamphlet on those suckers but the interface happens to be a far better instructor on the subject. And sooner or later you’ve got to let the old girl show you the ropes herself.

Side note: You may receive communications from a point in your timeline which you regard as having already occurred. A telephone call for example, a paper zine, or a voice coming from an appliance that isn’t plugged in. Be polite and go along with the program, but don’t volunteer any sensitive information. This form of communication is particularly vulnerable to what the boys upstairs call causal contamination and Marvin calls putting your big yap where it doesn't belong.
We’re kidding of course. But seriously, you may feel strongly like certain events have already occurred which flow right into this uncanny sensation of Déjà vu. What you are more than likely dealing with when this happens is a scaling event which involves “alterations.” This raises some interesting questions about communications outrunning the speed of light, but we’ll spare you he gymnastics. Just DON’T interrupt the caller! You follow?
