Travel Agents are duty bound to leave reminders for one another.
Travel Agents are duty bound to leave reminders for themselves.
This is one of the oldest practices in the business. The swellest reminders do not merely communicate information, they generate Re-Cognition.
Symbols, objects, and certain forms of architecture do the job beautifully. Stories work well, too. But myth… Boy howdy. A solid myth, properly placed, may be one of the most effective catalysts we have on the books. The best focal reminders wait patiently until the proper observer rolls around at just the right time and finds them under a bizarrely elegant set of circumstances. Then, bullseye! A circuit completes itself. Something you didn't know you knew suddenly becomes something you've always known. (Sometimes this sensation is unpleasant, sometimes it’s ecstatic!) But the point is, PAY ATTENTION!
The world is littered with signposts and navigational aids. Some left by the us, some left by you, and some have been hanging around for a lot longer than the Agency has even existed.
Who’s been leaving those?
Well, that’s part of fieldwork, kiddo!
